Terms of Use
Last updated: May 30, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TrashVPN, including the iOS application, VPN-related features, advertisements, update checks, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Service Overview
TrashVPN provides VPN connection functionality, including node synchronization, route selection, latency testing, advertising-supported features, and version update notices.
The Service may automatically fetch VPN node information, advertising configuration, app update information, and limited usage-related information from our backend servers while the app is running.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally permitted to use VPN services in your location. You are responsible for understanding and complying with the laws and regulations that apply to your use of the Service.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, court order, or third-party right.
- Attack, scan, overload, disrupt, or compromise any network, server, device, or service.
- Send spam, malware, phishing content, or other harmful or deceptive content.
- Commit fraud, harassment, abuse, copyright infringement, or other unlawful conduct.
- Resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, extract, scrape, or misuse VPN node information or configuration data.
- Interfere with the Service, its backend APIs, advertising systems, or security mechanisms.
We may suspend, restrict, rotate, or disable access to nodes or related services if we reasonably believe the Service is being abused or used in a way that harms users, infrastructure, partners, or third parties.
4. VPN Nodes and Connectivity
VPN node availability, speed, latency, routing behavior, and access to particular websites or services are not guaranteed. Nodes may be updated, replaced, rate-limited, or removed at any time.
The app may automatically synchronize new nodes when the current nodes are unavailable, expired, over quota, or otherwise need replacement. The app may also disconnect and reconnect the VPN when necessary to apply updated nodes or routing settings.
5. No Guarantee of Anonymity or Access
The Service is provided as a connectivity tool. We do not guarantee that:
- Your connection will always be private, anonymous, uninterrupted, or secure.
- Any particular website, app, region, or service will be reachable.
- The Service will bypass any network block, firewall, censorship system, or platform restriction.
- Third-party services will not detect, block, throttle, or restrict VPN traffic.
You should not rely on the Service as your sole security, privacy, anonymity, or compliance measure.
6. Advertisements and Third-Party Links
The Service may display custom advertisements and Google AdMob advertisements, including banner, native, interstitial, and app open ads.
Advertisements may link to third-party websites, apps, products, or services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, security, availability, purchases, or claims. Your interactions with advertisers or third-party services are solely between you and those third parties.
7. App Updates
The Service may check for new versions and display update notices. Some updates may be marked as required. If an update is required, continued use of the Service may be blocked until you update the app.
Update buttons may open an App Store URI first and then fall back to a web App Store URL if the URI cannot be opened.
8. Local Data and Security
The app may store VPN node data, generated configuration files, settings, latency results, and runtime state locally on your device. Sensitive node data is intended to be stored in encrypted form where supported by the app.
You agree not to attempt to extract, decrypt, copy, redistribute, sell, or publish node information, configuration files, keys, or other Service assets.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including app design, software code, documentation, branding, configuration logic, and related content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for personal, lawful purposes. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.
10. Third-Party Components
The Service may include or interact with third-party components, SDKs, frameworks, app stores, advertising networks, hosting providers, CDNs, and network infrastructure. Those third parties may have their own terms and policies.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their separate terms.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, performance, security, and uninterrupted operation.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, goodwill, device functionality, network access, or third-party accounts.
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.
13. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including nodes, routing behavior, advertising behavior, update behavior, backend APIs, and app features.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted in the app, on our website, or in the documentation. The "Last updated" date indicates when the Terms were last changed.
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, caused harm, or used the Service unlawfully.
